7 areas, 3 mission presidents, 2 missions, 1 hurricane maria and atleast 1,000 mosquito bites later:)...

Hola todos!
this has been an amazing week:)  This was my last week in my favorite place in the entire world, doing my favorite work in the entire world. for that, my heart is so fullllllll and i have been sitting staring at this screen for atleast 10 min now, haha and the only words that are even coming to my mind is pero que puedo decir? (but what can i say!!) i have loved my mission so so so much! so i think for this last email i just want to share my testimony and how i have grown closer to christ:)

This week i had a lot of realizations of why we need missionaries, and the importance of the message we bring. the UNIQUE message of how we have christs church has been restored on teh earth, and how we have the power to seal families together here on earth!!!:)  everytime i learn more about the gospel i am just AMAZED!! and this week in our district meeting i learned alot about our purpose, and angels:) haha ill explain:) here in puerto rico, people are just so so so kind:) and when we are talking to people many will just look at us and say we are little angels, y tell us dios les bendiga! and tell us we are doing such an important work! from people who are from every religion, becuase everybody here  has such a huge faith in christ which is incredible to see! but as far as the angel part i mean we are pretty pale, and i know our faces do probably literally glow becuase of the sweat on top of the sunscreen! haha but  it always just makes me feel so good! haha but something i have come to learn, is that really we aren't angels at all, we are far from perfect and work every day to buidl our fiath in christ so that we can help someone else do the same, so we may not be angels, but we are trying to do as christ would do, and say what he would say. sometiems as a missionary we just wish we could fix lots of things. w wish we could rebuild someones roof, overcome their addiction, help them see the lvoe god truly has for themmm! and so much more. but REALLY we have something better! we have the doctrine of chirst. we know that god has a plan, we know that we are alll SONS AND DAUGHTERS of a LOVING  heavenly father, we know where we can find answers, and we know where to find peace.  and i think that is one of the greatest thigns i have learned on myu mission. the doctirine of christ, and what it means to live the gospel. now i knwo think i fully understand why i need to god to chruch every sunday, why i would never want to deny myself of taking the sacrament, i know that through the atonement of Jesus christ we can find peace. i knwo that god does answers our prayers and that he will never leave us. y yo se que vive mi senor!
i am so so grateful for the opporutnity i had to get to know my savior. i also know that god NEVER stops teaching us, and that i have a lot to learn:)
i am so so grateful for all of my areas and every person i have met! i know that god puts people in our path to help us become who he wants us to become:) i am especially grateful for my last 6 months in my sweet brach in yauco! i have become incredibly close to every single one of them! This week god answered a lot of my prayers, and i know he is in the detail of our lives, he knows all of our worries and loves us so much!
i love you al so so so much!! so so much!! and am excited to see you all soon:)
also sorry this is pretty long adn im not sure it makes sense but love youall!

Some of my favorite things :)

hola!
i hope you all had an amazing week!
this email may be all over the place! but here are some of my FAVORITE things that happnened this week:D

we were able to teach our investigator christian about temples and it was so awesome! we talked about how it fits into the plan of salvationn and how he has anscestors waiting for him to do their work:) it was so funny, he said "sooo if i get baptized tomorrow, could i get a list of all of my anscestors back to adam and eve and baptize them? haha yes christian! he is awesome and i know he will get baptized when the time is right:D

we cleaned someones bathroom this week with just clorox and a broom!

we taught a sweet new investigator we have who has tons of questions, and we gave her tons of answers:)

we had a 2 hour lesson and only taught about prophets! haha its becuase sometimees when you get 2 boricuas together they can talkkkkkkk! it is so funnny, i love them<3

This week will be my last full week here on my mission in puerto rico;( super crazyyyy, but something i recently learned is that christ NEVER stops teaching us. everday i grow closer to christ as i learn more of him. sometimes its in my studies, sometiems its through my companion, members and investigators, but everday there is something i needed to learn, and everday as i learn more of him, the work becomes that much more important to me:) so my favorite thing that happneded this week was getting to know christ through the book of mormon, the atonemnent, and feeling the spirit testifying that these things are true;)
i am excited to share what i knwo is true this week, and i hope you all have a SUPERB semana:)
con MUCHO amor, Hermana Zimmerman:)

hola todos!

we had a great week this week! and here's why:)

one GREAT thing was zone conference! always a spiritual experience:) loved it so much!

another GREAT thing was we had a menos activo family come this week!! it is a mom with 2 kids who we have been teaching for awhile! we went over early in the morning to help them eat breakfast and things, got to church pretty late BUT THEY CAMEEEE!!

also we saw a sweet miracle this week as we found an investigator that we haven't been able to see in awhile! turns out she has tons of awesome questions and super golden! adn wanted to come to church!

overall i just love puerto rico:) i love how my orange chicken i got at a chinese restaurant was made 80% by orange fanta, i love how me and hermana jorgensen went to a funeral this week and were the ONLY people not in black... we did not get that memo! haha also on the way back 2 members sang puerto rican christmas songs, it was the best thing ever! i want to learn them ALL! they were hilarious!

haha overall it really was just GREAT:) haha because the mission is great, god is great, and puerto rico is great!:)

i hoep you all have an amazing week!! les quiero muchisimo:)

Un Otro Huracann??

hola todos!
I am writing today because there was another hurricane that came! but it was just really small and by the time it hit puerto rico it was just classified as a tropical storm:D so my zone decided to have a zone-olympics yesterday on the beach! haha it was kinda crazy:D

sorry i don't have a ton of time today! but i just wanted to share a sweet experiences that happened yesterday:) yesterday was when the big storm rolled in and it POURED! which made me so so happy becuase i loved being soaked! anyways so we went out a little early because we weren't able to email,  after 20 minutes it looked like we had just jumped into a pool! there weren't tons of people outside and our appointemtns fell through. but we thought of this sweet man who we found a couple weeks ago to stop by! his name is juan. he is a simple man who told us he recently lost fe in god. we stopped by and he was so shocked we were out in the rain and so worried we would get sick! he let us right in and gave us cake  and ice cream:) we talked to him for awhile and it was just a good sweet very simple lesson.  now you are probably wondering why this was my favorite experience ofo the week! it was because to me there is no greater joy, then sitting on a porch being soaking wet, hearing rain, with incredibly kind humble puerto ricans, testifying that jesus christ knows how they feel and have felt. i felt the spirit for sure:)  that is why i love the mission so much:)
i hit my 17 meses in the mission, and i wish i never had to leave:) but i will do all i can this last month:)
i love you all so much!! and so does god:)
con mucho amor, Hermana Zimmerman;)
