rain, rain, and more RAIN!

HOLA todos!
Okay so this week was great and white washing has truly just been like the biggest adventure! haha but really wow! also a few weeks ago I remember telling my family that the rainy season had just ended but it turns out it just started! haha so everyday thsi really is what its like, we wake up adn its really sunny so we decide to not bring rain gear, at like 2 or 4 it then suddenly begins to just pour rain! and i mean out of nowhere! within 20 seconds it looks like we just jumped into the ocean! it is insane but we can't really just go hoem and change so we just keep going haha it truly has led to so many funny stories and experiences! i love the rain so muchhhhh:)
Also as far as white washing goes i really have just come to love my area! i love seeing the ocean in some parts and it really is just like a totally different place even though its still in Cabo Rojo!  It is very campo adn humble in many parts adn most of the time we are just walking in the trees for like 45 min before we even see houses but its super pretty!  Also a huge perk is we now have walgreens, and walgreens has icees so yeah we are there almost every day! haha but also the ward i am in is very kind adn a lot of people are kind and offer us rides which are always a tender mercy!
This week we also had intercambios with the sister trainers and both sister trainers actually came to our area and we all worked here which was fun adn we were able to find some cool new investigators adn I learned a lot!  We were able to find this cute family with two kids, and one of the kids wanted to put this little lizard on my ear like as an earing, it would just bite on and it was so close to happening adn he was just so cute but the lizard wouldn't do it so inside i was like so grateful! haha but yeah that waws really fun!
We also have 2 investigators that the elders before us gave to us, a mother and a daughter and they came to churhc on sunday for the first time and so we were so excited about that!
Anyways i hope you all have a wonderful week! I love thsi gospel adn i love all you!
con mucho amor, Hermana Zimmerman:)

so many NEW things!

buenas BUENAS buenas!
okay this week was super awesome adn super crazy! first of all now i am in a new area but still living in the same house! haha so cabo rojo is split into 2 areas so i have jsut been transferred from one side to the other! also its crazy becuase now everyday we have to walk about 30 min to our area before we can really start proselyting but ill talk more about that later!
okay so first my new companion is named Hermana Thelin! she is from herriman and is super cute adn funny! She is also only 1 transfer ahead of me so the fact that they put two greenies together white was pretty crazy for us but its all good becuase her spanish is perfect and mien is coming poco a poco!  But anyways so now i was also transfered into a different ward which honestly was the hardest thing for me, i LOVE my first ward SO much, they really will forever have  a place in my heart adn luckily i do get to see them on sunday in between hours!  But also before i talk about my new area i just want to talk about my sweet recent convert Yvette who was baptized last week, we went and visited her last monday before transfers adn it was just one of the best days ever to see how she has changed. not in huge dramatic ways but she honestly is jsut so incredibly happy! she told us that when she was baptized when her head went under she opened her eyes for a second adn thought to herself wowo this is how Jesus was baptized and she said that she felt everything bad go away and when she came up she was just glowing! sghe gave us a big hug adn just said "I did it!" and she really is just so incredibly happy which just makes me so so incredibly happy!  It was one of the moments adn memories that i will never forget from my first area adn i am very grateful that i still get to visit with thenm on sunday! anyways so yes i lvoe Cabo Rojo so  much adn now we are starting over in another area adn we are excited to find more people!
So about my new area now it is one the coast so i get to be by the ocean! i love it so much there are almost just like a fisherman town adn it is very different that my first area even though its so close to it! It is also very humble in some areas and so we are really grateful that we get to serve here!
In this area we also do a lot alot more walking, haha its crazy i feel like i am training for a marathon but we have seena lot of miracles as random people have given us rides as they see us walking, haah they arej ust like you're crazy! adn we are like yeah pretty much!  Also we saw a miracle while contacting!  We were just walkign around and this man stopped us and just said mormons?? and we were like yeah! adn it turns out he was baptized about two years ago and his wife is also a member but very sick adn she lvoes when missionaries visit adn so he brings us to his humble hoem and tells us to go into her room to surprise her and i will never forget the look of pure joy on sweet rosas face! she was so excited to see us and we just talked for awhiel and they shared stories adn it was so much fun, adn for me it really showed me a little about what really matters most, they have such a love for this gospel adn such strong testimonies, it really is their world and really it shoudl be for us all, but just to sit and talk with her gave me a lot of perspective adn we are goin gto visit her again and so i am very excited for that:D
anyways so Im hoping this made sense!  overall i am just having a big advernture! this area is really crazy and i have never stepped on more dead iguanas in my life which is like half terrifying and also just really funny, wE are just having so many new experiences and it is just super awesome! okay wait one mroe story so we were in a really far area in our area adn it had been a long day and we were so lost! but then this sweet lady came and ran to us sayign that she was in our ward and asked if we wanted some pinchos! so we got the most amazing pinchos right on the dock and then we ate them infrom of this intersting pharmacy shaped as a castle as we bandaged oru feet for the walk back because blisters are so real! haha anyways so yes we are having so much fun here and are excited to really rely on our Heavenly Father to guide us to where we should go in our new area! have a wonderful week!!

un gran milagro:)

Hola familia! les amo!!
I don't even know how how to describe this week besides un gran milagro because truly it was an incredible week!!
Okay so to start off we have these investigators Ivette and nicole, a mother and daughter who have been taught for the last 4 months and for a while now our lessons have been focused on baptism.  This week was the last week of the transfer which means also my training and me and Hermana Green really really were hoping we would be able to have a baptism together and so at our lesson we decided that we were going to invite them to be baptized for Sunday if we feel they were prepared.  So we get there and the Spirit has never been so strong, for one of the first times i really feel like i was just the mouthpiece for the spirit and they said so many things that confirmed to us that they were so prepared to be baptized! so we asked them to be baptized that upcoming sunday and invited them to pray and ask if that is what they should do, be baptized that sunday!  So the next day me and Hermana Green decided to fast and that same day Hermana Green realized that she had taken their book of mormon! haha no bueno so ofcourse we went and returned it and when we got their they were so just happy! and they gave us these sweet little presents and then we left to go to a meeting with the missionaries and our bishop.
okay so at this meeting we were talking to our bishop about this and he was saying well why not they get baptized on Friday with George! okay so george is one of the Elders investigators adn he is the sweetest man in the world!! anyways and so we said we woudl continue to pray adn he didi to, he was like okay we are all going to pray for this adn he was so happy!  Now the next day we were going to have a family home evening at a member house and so we went their so we could drive with them and asked them about baptism again (also we had just ended our fast) Ivette looked at us with a big grin on her face and said that the night prior after we left she said that she just felt so happy and wanted to be baptized adn then that night she had a dream where she recieved her answer! it was an absolute miracle and we were so so so so happy for her!!  and so we invited her to be baptized on Friday and said yes!!!It honestly was the most amazing day of my life and we know that this would not have happened with the help from our Father in Heaven!  Also one more miracle happened this day, the Elders have another investigator names Josue who has been taught everything but just didn't want to commit to baptism, but he came adn our Bishop was talking to him and he said that he wanted to be baptized so our district leader once again ran to the church to give the interview he was also baptized!  Honestly such an incredible day for the Cabo Rojo 1 barrio truly so many miracles:)  Also it was mine and the elders first baptism so that made it even more special we all were so so happy all day!  So me and Hermana Green were able to hae a baptism togehter 2 days before transfers!!
Also this week I really just saw the Lords hand in my life, ofcourse through this gran milagro but also through little things!  I am now done with my training and this week i have recieved so many answers to prayers that I have been praying for throughout my training, it truly seemed like things just felt to good this week and I testify that our father in heaven is listening to our prayers adn will always answer us, this is something that i have seen this week as i was brought so much comfort in the little things!
Im sorry this was such a long email but real quick funny story: yesterday us, the elders and our ward mission leader got locked in the church for over an hour with no cell service! haha it was so funny!
TRANSFERS
Okay so transfers were so crazy, I am staying in the same house but i am being transferred to the other area in Cabo Rojo that is usually just elders, so now really me and my new companion Hermana Daylee will be white washing! ahhhhhh And my comp/trainer Hermana Green is training again and the elders in Cabo Rojo 1 have also been transfereed to the other area and so all in all it was crazy!  I still can't really believe it but I am just so grateful for the week that we had especially finding out I will no longer be in my sweet Cabo Rojo 1 who I love so so much, honestly it kinda hurts thinking that I am leaving wards but we know that he has a plan, this is something that we can all ALWAYS take and find comfort in!
love you all and I hope you have a wonderful week!!
siempre con mucho amor, Hermana Zimmerman

Tropical Storms!

Buenas todos!
This was a great week and this is my last week of training!! so loco:0
But anyways this week i witnessed my first HUGE tropical storm! it was crazyyy and so cool!!  We were in the middle of a service project for a recent convert helping her clean up a backyard, it was so so fun especiallly with the storm!
Also this week we found this really really sweet lady named Carmen! she teaches kindergarten and is one of the kindest people i've met! she was so sweet but unfortunately leaves on vacation soon for a month but when she comes back we are excited and hopeful that we can teach her!  Also we had 3 investigators at church!
I also just want to talk a little about the cute and amazing recent converts in my ward, they are the MEJOR and my dearest friends!!  two of them bore their testimony for the first time this sunday and it was so sweet and special to hear.  Each one of them truly strengthened my testimony, they each had gone through a lot in their life and have changed so much!  My favorite is when they talk to us about their readings in the Book of Mormon as well as all of the miracles they have seen, its honestly just makes me so so happy, especially when we may not have many investigators they bring so much hope that we can find! ah man i could go on and on i love them dearly.
Also yesterday we went over to one the recent converts house for cake adn it turned into a noche de hogar where i was forced to drink malta becuase they all thought it weould be so funny! they all said no you just have to try it, and so i did... definietley an aquired taste adn then they all confessed they don't even like it wow! haha Alex a recent convert described it as cocroach juice... haha honestly isn''t that bad but he is so funny!
Okay funny story: last mondday while contacting we met this sweet sweet sweet lady, she gave us juice doughnuts baby bananas and was just so kind! it was really funny though becuase she was wondering where we were from and here is how the conversation went:
Me: I'm from utah!
what is that??
Me: oh its a state!
ohhhhh colorado??
Me: oh no next to colorado!
ohhhh so denver or colorado springs!
Me: well its a state next to colorado!
ohhhh Utah, Colorado!
haha we just went with that and then she called her son that lived in colorado telling him that she just met someone from there! haah it was really funny but honestly im horrible with geography so if it were anywhere else i would probably do the same!
also me and hermana Green are deciding that we are going to make an app called "Find my investigators" haha gotta love them:)
I also wanted to just share a quote from a district video i saw this week #12semanas
"As long as you put your faith first, all will work out"  I love this so much, faith is evereything, and when we show our faith we will be shown milagros, they may not be big but they will be there.
I love you all so much!
con mucho amor, Hermana Zimmerman:)
