The week we went back to Puerto Rico!

Hola todos!
this may be the most jumbly email(not sure if I just made up that word...) ever! hhaaha crazy day today, we had a zone activity in ponce and played soccer and i realized the only talent i have is being able to get my sunburn sunburnt:D
here are some good things that happened this week!

-this week we went back what we like to call (Puerto Rico.1) which is Puerto Rico before Hurricane Maria, so much has changed:) one main thing is that we use cars more because we cover more area! we used to just be a walking mission:D anyways but having said that we have a limited number of miles and we basically ran out for the month 10 days before the mes ended.... haha so we have been walking, walking walking!
-with all the walking we came up with some good new games... on is called "Name that Roadkill!" but its almost too easy because 90% of the time its an iguana!:0
-it was one members birthday and he has never seen snow, but we found this little bottle of "instant snow (just add water)" in the house, and we brought it over and they thought it was the coolest thing ever!
-our house was painted PURPLE!
MILAGRITOS:)
-we were able to find an old contact and she let us come back the next day and we were able to teach her the restoration! she said she had always heard of the book of Mormon but never knew what it was or that it was scripture!  she is soo kind!
-we went into a panaderia and only had $1.25 in quarters, but just needed something after having walked awhile, we decided to share a a&w rootbeer but before we could pay we have 2 people offer to buy us pastries! they were super insistant and so so so kind!!
-this just happened like 1 hour ago! we had an old investigator who was so awesome call us and set up an appointment for tomorrow! and an even bigger miracle was that it is at the EXACT TIME A MEMBER TOLD US SHE COULD COME OUT WITH US! and this member is friends with her!
- another milagrito was actually through a reference from the guayanilla elders, its a girl who was interested in the book of Mormon and had a lot of questions about our church! we were really excited but even more excited because the past couple of days we had been praying that we would be able to find someone who had questions about the book of Mormon while contacting, and she was found just not in the way we expected it was really cool to see the different ways our answers come!

overall i think the most important things i learned came through one of my favorite children songs, if the savior stood beside me, if he really did stand right next to me, what would HE do, what would HE say?  I know that as a missionary we can do good things everyday, even if we may not be teaching as much as we think we should, or finding as many people as we want, we can still do something so important everyday, and do what he wants us to do! i love my savior and hope to be able do as he would, and say all he would say to his children in Puerto Ricoeveryday for the rest of my mission:)
 love you all dearly!
con mucho amor, Hermana Zimmerman:)
 P-day :D
our recent converso rosa who left for nueva york who came to say goodbye!!:( we love her so much!

The week my companion got stabbed in the foot with a broken cane by a 3 yr. old :D

Hola todos!
We had a great week! this week the whole island basically changed with transfers BUT me and hermana Jenson which we are SO HAPPY about! so it was a pretty calm but great week! I love mi hija muchisimo!

Here are some random stories:D
-my 2 favorite seasons just started in Puerto Rico: RAIN y MANGOS! it has been raining so much and when people give us mangoes they don't give us less than 10, so you could say we are loaded:D
-we went had a dinner at a member house and she made us chicken... WRAPPED IN BACON
-This was a our second week trying out an ingles class and preach my gospel class and they were so fun! more people were able to come and we have SO many laughs!  I am in love with my little yauco rama:D and we also were able to see the power of prayer to help us know what to teach!
-We saw a miracle a found a menos activo last week and she said that she was going to go through her boxes to look for her book of mormon and things from church:D we came back and she said that she found it all and a personal progress and wants to do it with us!
-we were at a families house and they gave us otterpops:0 they didn't have any scissors but me and hermana Jenson are so challenged and couldn't rip it with our teeth, so one of the sons got this huge knife! and told me to hold the top and it was terrifying i thought he was going to mascheti(have nooo idea how to spell that...) it off! but luckily the mom showed us a better way to do it, and we both realized how we will ALWAYS need a mom! haaha moms are the BEST

A little milagrito we saw this week:)
one day while contacting we prayed to find specific people, a 12 yr old who lives with her grandparents and a guy in his 30s with 2 kids, and we found them almost perfect to the description (the 12 yr old also had a little 3 yr. old little brother which explains the subject... haha but no worries it was just a flesh wound;) ! anyways... haha! and during that time they were the only ones who opened there door, it was such a cool milagro! we are excited to contitue trying it, but this time wtith different questions in mind, like maybe finding someone who has questions about the book of mormon or something like that.. we aren't sure but we know he answers our prayers, now we just have to ask the right questions!:D

I love my mission so so so much, because everyday we get to see how heavenly Father really is watching out for us, and there is NOTHING in the WORLD sweeter than that:)

love you alllllll!! have a fantastic week:)
con mucho amor, Hermana Zimmerman:)

the week that we had TRANSFERS!

HOLA todos!
We had a great week this week! especially becuase I got to skype our cute familia who I love dearly!! we also had transfer calls yesterday, and everybody in my zone got transfered EXCEPT me and hermana Jenson! she finished her training yesterday but we are staying together which will be our 3rd transfer, adn one of our transfer goals is that we will stay together for 4 all the way until i go home:) but we are SO EXCITED!
we also are getting more missionaries here in the zone of Ponce so our district is splitting into 3, so now we are just with 4 elders in guayanilla, and our entire district covers what we covered our first transfer here, so we are excited we still get to go to guayanilla for district meeting!

anyways here are some other milagritos we saw this week!

1. english class! we started and english class becuase there had been a few members who mentioned they would love one!  we don't have any books to really teach from.... our thought process went like this: well... we know english so we can probably teach it! haha but we prayed a lot for it and it turned out well! there was a good turnout and a member brought  a friend:D

2. preach my gospel class! we also started a pme classe this week, it was a small showing but we are just glad people came! haha even it they did 45 min late;) haha i love pr and i would prob do the same, which is probably why i was called here:)

3. christian came to church! he is super cool and his mom made us tortillas and salsa:) bendiciones:D

4. the two main foods we eat here are rice and beans and.... lasanga! its the best:) and we had a mothers day lunch and slideshow that showcased pics of our moms as well after church!

5. we have a member who told me it looks like i dont brush my hair... haha i promise i do but humidity just kinda kills that dream of having nice hair!

anyways all is well in our little pueblo de Yauco! love you all so much!! dios les bendiga:)

con mucho amor, hermana Zimmerman:)

Hola Todos!

HOLA TODOS!
we had a FANTASTIC WEEK THIS WEEK! a big highlight was that Rosa was baptized!!!  it was kinda a crazy week getting everything ready haha like we didn't have baptism clothes until the morning of becuase guayanilla and yauco didn't have any! haha ahhh but it all worked out and we were able to drive down to ponce and get some!  but it really was awesome! we did it down in Guayanilla because that is where she has been attending, and really from the start she was just a huge milagro!  Her boyfriend is a member and their first date he invited her to church and we have been teaching her for almost 2 meses and she has just lvoed everything and was so happy after the baptism! (and so were we!:)  Presidente and Hermana smart were also able to come which was so fun! they are 2 of my ffavorite people in the world!

I also wanted to share a really sweet milagro we saw on tuesday during out zone blitz in guayanilla:)
(a zone blitz is when all of the missionaries in our zone/district work in one area after district meeting for about 2 hours to find more people! and in guayanilla Hurricane Maria took their area book.. so they don't have any formers which makes things a little more difficult!)
anyways so also quick back story we had zone conference last week and some of the sister training leaders talked about praying with faith, and this was the PERFECT chance to try and practice that, so we got to our area and started with a prayer to know where to go, and tried to follow every prompting/thought that either of us recieved!  we got to work and at the beginning we found 2 cool people! and were like woot this is great! then.. we kinda struggled for almost a full hour, when we didn't know where to go we prayed and felt led to certain houses but no one answered:/  it got down to where we had 30 minutes left and so we prayed again to know where to go.  we both felt like we should go straight and to the left and hermana Jenson also felt like we should try to go to this blue house and then back to this pink house we felt really good about. so we went and talked to some people but again not much happened with the first two houses!  then we went down the street and to the left and called at a house, at that same moment the garage door opened to the house next to it and it was this guy named juan! he was sooo cool! and HE WAS TAUGHT BEFORE THE HURRICANE and even came to church once, but since the hurricane he hasn't seen missionaries!  he even showed us a picture of him and the missionaries and it was soo amazing, and we knew that everywhere we were led had a big part to finding him in the time we did.  I absolutely strenghtened my testimony on of the power of prayer , and am so grateful for the experience we were able to have in finding him!
and quick update about him the elders found him that night and said he was so cool and bought them dinner!  and we also wrote down this pink house that we both just felt SO good about even though nobody answered.. we felt kinda silly writing it down as a reference but we really felt like it was special for some reason! so the elders also found them and it was a small family who they said were super cool!  anyways i know that was like such a long story but just remember that god is very aware of us and his children!!

also saw some fun new things this week like horses in the back of a truck on the freeway and a SPEED LIMIT SIGN!

I love lvoe love being here as a missionary in puerto rico<3
hope you all have an amazing week, love you all TONS!!!
con muchisimas amor, Hermana Zimmerman:)
