The week when the Lizard situation escalted!

Hola todos!

okay quick funny story, this week we went to visit a members house, but the only instuctions we got went like this:

go up a hill, down a hill... up a hill down a hill... not that house but the next, by kilometer 12! hahaaha but no worries we found it and had the best night with a sweet couple and their grandaughter who recenltly moved back to puerto rico because of maria! woot!!

this week we finally accepted the lizard situation.... we kinda just accepted their presence becuase they are everywhere! buttttt this week it escalted becusae lizards now turned into a baby iguana. in our house. not that much bigger than a lizard but 10x more terrifying!! haha so basically the night we saw it we barricaded ourselves in our room:0 and the next day found it in the bathroom, and now we don't know where it is... yikesssss

haha but we truly did have an amazing week this week and saw a MONTON de milagros:)

first with a sweet sweet sweet 82 yr old lady we found last week, we were with 2 members who we LOVE and our inv we wanted to visit with them wasnt there:( so we thought of luz! we went to her house and she was there! she is someone who at first seems like super intimitaded. adn in the beginning of the lesson it wasn't exactly going where we felt it should... she listenedd to missionaries 10 yrs ago, when where husband was really sick, she talked about how much the missionaries helped her and how she felt like our church was the closest you could get to christ. she has been asking what church is true her whole life and recently decided to almost give up on her search but at the lesson we saw soooo much progress! she opened up after awhile and a member was able to answer some questions she had had!  after the lesson she just looked at us and said i feel something! i dont know what it is but i have never felt it before! she gave us all the longest sweestes hug.

overall it was one of those lessons where you KNOW they are special becuase even when the lesson at first feels like it is just falling off a cliff you feel un UNDENIABLE love from them, it is literally my favorite, and it was just one of the best nights of my mission even though its kinda hard to describee... haha:)

another miracle we saw was that our investigator christian came to church! woooooot! it was such a crazy sunday for him to come haha we lost light in yauco sunday morning and so curch started pretty light but power came back right on time!!

anyways overall we just had an amazing amazing week, truly know that god lives and his miracles all all around us!

hola todos! we had a great week this week!

haha except that all of the animals outside think that the mi casa tu casa applies to them... haha! but al is well in our little perfect yauco!

there were just lots of things that happened this week!

fun THINGS

-so we aren't in guayanilla or penuelas anymore since more elders came in but there is a family who we became really close with came all to yauco to take us out to pizaa hut anyway! they are THE BEST! and their daughter decided she was going to serve a MISSION!!!  we love them SO much!

-we got a call on friday, abril 6 from a member who said that she wanted to invite us over for dinner and a noche de hogar for christmas! we were so confused until we realized that christ was actually born in april! haha but it was so fun celebrating christmas in april again!

new THINGS

-i almost ate a fly that was in orange juice i was given, haha but succefully avoided it, holla!

-caught many lizards with pot handles and spiders with cups:) we are professionals now:D

-drove on a "2" way rode that definitely can only fit one car up in campo! ahhhhh

the best THINGS!

-this week we found one of our investigators who we feel has a lot of potencial! she even gave us references! milagros.

-we have an investigator who has a fecha for next week who fasted with us! it waas her first time but she told us she felt happy all day! love her!!

-we have a newish investigator who just asked tons questions and happened to be frieends with one of the members in the ward!

I love this gospel and i lvoe all of you with all my heart! i  hope you all have an amazing week!

hoep you all had an amazing week especially with conference! it truly was straight FUEGO! haha but really and that was only one of some good things this week!

anyways here are just some good things that happened this week!

first we are teaching a family who recently got baptized in guayanilla ( a mom and daughter) and this week the mom was getting ready for something and so she just ahd us teach her adorable daughter miah! I learned so much from this sweet 8 yr old and i just wanted to share a story she shared with us and how incredible it was to see how even the youngest little girl, has felt and recognized the holy ghost multimple times in her life:)  we asked her about her baptism and she just expressed how good she felt when she came out of the water, then we asked her if she had ever felt that before? and she said she had, she said once she was helping her mom with something and they passed a humble man, she looked at him and just said dios te bendiga, (god bless you)  she expressed how when she said these simple words she felt something come over her, she said it was warm and peaceful, and she knew that it came form god, telling her what she told this man was true, and that he was a child of god.  she said the only other time she felt that was when she got baptized.  the way she told this story brought so much joy into my heart as came to recognize the power from the holy ghost.

we also saw a sweet tender mercy this week!  one day we had plans to meet with the leaders in our branch, but when we got there no one was there but the relief society president telling us it had been canceled, we were kinda bummed becuase we have been trying to get things going in the rama, but havent had much luck, but then the relief society president gave a reference in the neighborhood, a young joven who had been to church before, we were sooo excited! and we went and he came out showing interest in our message! we were able to meet with him and his mom yesterday and they are really cool!  but more than anything, we knew without a doubt that god was watching over us, and blesses us every single day. we truly felt his hand so prominently in this!

our investigator rosa came to conferance and just loved it! she is so amazing and we are so grateful to be teaching her<3

we also got transfer calls yesterday and me and hermana jenson are staying together!!! however we are going down to just one area, our rama in yauco! it was definitley bittersweet becuase we LOVE guayanilla and ahve come so close to many members there:( but more missionaries are coming back and there is nothing sweeter than that:) so 2 elders are now there and we are down to 2 pueblos:)

i just wanted to also share some things i loved about conference:D

I loved the story that elder wilson shared aboutt eh man who was on the boat during the typhoon, and how he received revelation on waht to do so that the boat did not sink. i loveeeee how he expressed that this man probably had been using this provesss to receive revelation for all his life, then when this momemt came he knew what to do. he knew that he could confide in the spirit to lead him in the right direction.  Now that we are just down to one area i am excited to put nmore of this into practice, and pray that i can learn how to follow the spirit even more with every decision wemake, and knwo by doing this we will see exito as we strive to align our will with his for our area and branch! we know that there are even more GOOD THINGS  to come! 

i love you all with all my heart, and this gospel with all my heart, there is nothing but good things that come when we have it at the center of our lives, I promise fills our hearts with immense joy!
