Puerto Rico San Juan Mission: MINISTRANDO:D

hola todos!

haha okay, so this week Hermana Jenson and I found the way to every Puerto Ricans heart. MUDDIE BUDDIES! haha no joke! so funniest thing, one day this week we were at our favorite pizza shop! we were buying a pizza for this less active family/recent converts/investigators.. haha anyways so we had made them some muddie buddies so I was holding this box and while we were waiting the pizza worker just kept looking at it so we offered them some and they loved it! they asked over and over what they were called and how to make them because chex doesn't really exist here! haha anyways so we got the pizza and sidenote: the family lives up on a hill, and we have to walk through pueblo to get there, and if being a gringa doesn't already grab enough attention, being a gringo holding a huge pizza sure does! it was so funny! anyway so we get to the house and gave them to muddie buddies and they LOVED them too! it was so awesome and so now we are going to make TONS:D

anyways also here are some random funny things that happened! (hahaa but really it might just be me that thinks they are funny!)

-we got a reference this week but the address was kinda vague.. she said just turn here, got up that road and you will see a white house! haha okay we we follow the instructions but the only problem was that for some reason this was the hill with like ONLY white houses! haha seriously it was so funny for some reason, and we found the house! but she wasn't home.. BUT it was worth it because we saw an iguana jump off of a 7 ft ledge, 7 ft away from me! :0 this honestly is the land of the iguanas!

-we were going through the baptismal interview questions with our investigator rosa and we said that she believed in two gods.. we paused and kinda got nervous until she said "yeah heavenly father, and the god who made oreos!"

-we made cakes this week, but they almost got burned because there was a huge spider infront of the oven! :0 but we swept it out and the cakes were still delicious!

-there was one day this week where we just kept getting fed, from ice cream, rice and pasteles, and then a whole plate of doughnuts just for us that we were expecting to eat them all... haha we alsmost died;)

we also had zone conference this week that was soooo amazing! we learned about ministering and missionary work! and I learned even more about how every single person really is SO important to god, and he just wants nothing more for us to be happy! and we can all help in that process! we also learned a lot about following the spirit,how a lot of times the spirit doesn't manifest itself in grand ways, a lot of times it is a simple thought and it really takes us just follow that simple thought/ feeling or impression and as we do so we will be able to receive even more revelation on what we should do/say. and I wanted to share a cool experience we had yesterday miracles yesterday with regards to trying following the spirit even through the "fog"! we were driving back from a cita that fell through and a name came to my mind, it was an investigator we had taught at the beginning of our transfer together! we had lost contact with her awhile ago because she said she was really busy.... anyways so we stopped by and she was there! and she told us she had kept reading in the book of Mormon and is in 1 nefi 19!! as well as had read all of the pamphlets multiple times and talked to us about how when she reads she really feels something! it was sooo amazing and we are super excited to start teaching her again!! I really learned about impressions from the spirit, how really, they aren't usually something grand because it really was just the simplest thought as a name came to mind but I testify that the spirit is our guide and will always lead us!
