Espero que todos estan bien!<3
This week was really great! However we did loose our dear prophet Thomas S. Monton, and so this week I was thinking a lot about him and everything I have learned and there was one particular experience I wanted to share! When I was in the CCM we watched On the Lord's Errand, which is a documentary about Thomas S. Monson and is sooo incredible! I think it was my first time watching it and it was one of those moments when I felt the spirit testify to me so much of the truthfulness of this gospel, and made me absolutely extatic to go to the field! There was one story that really stood out to me, Thomas S Monson was the bishop at the time and a family from Germany was coming in to a small apartment, with hardlky anything in it, but he felt that he needed to make it much more welcoming so they completely redid it, and it shows so clearly the love he has for all! I want to be just like that, to see a need and follow a prompting, he was truly an example of that and siempre on the Lord's errand, I love him!
Okay so from this week I wanted to share some stories and miracles and everything good I saw and learned:D
First alice:)
She is the granddaughter of a menos activo we are teaching, she is so cute and sweet and only 6 years old, but whener we come and she's there she will come and listen quietly, last time we went she drew up pictures that said God is great and it was the cutest thing ever hence the subject line! the big miracle was that after church I saw her! She came from out of a classroom by herself and said that her mom who hadn't come for a long time came to the ysa! This little girl told me about how she loved church because it's good, and she likes how she feels, and loves to come with her grandma and mom, she basically melts by heart and it is so dear seeing how even the smallest of children can recognize what is good and what is right:)i lover her!
Richard
About a month ago we were walking and met this man named Richard! He was r ealky cool and seemed receptive but we were never able to contact him again:( but then this week we were walking down the street and this man stops on his bike and days hey do you remember me?! And I looked at him and just thought that's not a great question for a missionary, and truly had no idea who he was, but as we talked suddenly I remembered his name! And we set up an appointment and he is so amazing! He speaks English so we had a really cool pass off lesson with the elders but it truly is amazing how God will also lead the chosen, and bring to rememeberence those he needs us to meet and teach and BAPTIZE:D haha but really he was so amazing and brought us a big bad or orange. BLESSINGS.
This week we also had the amazing experience to hear from elder Oaks! It truly was amazing and you can feel that he is an apostle of the Lord. I learned so so so much about teaching, the importance of the book of mormon, and how tjere are people prepared. We can always use prayer to find them:) overall it was incredible!
Today we also went to the Mercadito, and I literally had the best time ever because there was this little boy in one of the little shops, he was 1 1/2 years old and I was trying on all of these Mexican shoes and he was so hilarious and would pick one and hand it to me, then touch my feet, think for a bit and find another, and it's even cuter because he speaks Spanish and so how could I not buy the colorful crazy Mexican shoes? It was so hilarious!
Okay it's been a long email but I hope you all know how mich I love you, and how much I love being a missionary and the gospel:) we have seen many miracles and I am grateful for the things I can learn!
Thank you all so much as well for all the prayers you send every week to a Puerto Rican, I know they are heard<3
Salvador- he us a man in Cabo Rojo who we taught for awhile, he lived in a very humble house close to the ocean, I remember vividly one lesson where we were out on his deck and were teaching him about the book of Mormon, there was TORENTIAL rain, and we shared with him the truths found in the book of Mormon, he said how he had never heard it before and was interested, overall I think with him, my testimo y grew because as i sat there and looked at the rain I felt so happy, and I felt so lucky to have the opportunity it to share with people something they do not know, this man impacted me, and I know that with all of our prayers he will be watched over:D I love the people of Puerto Rico with ALL my heart<3:):)
Les quiero mucho!
